Built in 312 BC, the Appian Way linked Rome to Brindisi. Today the stretch inside the Regional Park is one of the city's most evocative places, far from traffic and surrounded by pines and ruins.
An e-bike is the ideal way to go: the paving is uneven and distances are long, but pedal assist lets everyone reach the Park of the Aqueducts without getting tired.
Tip: go in the morning or late afternoon and bring water and comfortable shoes. On Sundays the main stretch is closed to cars.
